Dental Veneers are thin tooth porcelain restorations used to cover chipped and broken teeth, stained, discolored teeth, malaligned teeth, and to close spaces. Dental veneers are generally placed on front teeth top or bottom or both. However, veneers can also be placed on premolars to enhance a smile. Dental Veneers are made of porcelain or porcelain fused to ceramic material. Dental veneers once bonded to the tooth, are very strong, resist staining, and properly cared for can last up to 15 yrs. Depending on the tooth position, only a small amount of tooth structure needs to be removed. Dental Veneers are done in 2 visits (after the first initial consultation) the first visit is to prepare and impression the teeth to receive the veneers and place the temporary veneers, the second visit 2 weeks later is to place the permanent veneers.
Dental veneers can completely change a persons smile, appearance and enhance a persons confidence.
