Immediate Dentures

Dr. Roderick Garcia is an Albuquerque Family and Cosmetic Dentist. Dr. Garcia is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and has practiced Dentistry since 1983. Immediate Dentures are one of the many procedures he provides. Immediate Dentures is an appliance that replaces missing teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw on the same day the teeth are extracted.
When teeth are present and need to be extracted an immediate denture is one option. The immediate denture is made ahead of time before the teeth are extracted. Teeth color, shape, and size are selected with the patient's help. Once the teeth are extracted, the immediate denture is placed and adjusted on the same day. Adjustments to the immediate denture are made for 4-6 months as the bone and tissue heal and the extracted area re-contours. After the healing has occurred either a new denture is made or the immediate denture is relined with acrylic to fit the newly healed edentulous area which allows for a proper denture fit and is like getting a new denture.
The Immediate Denture procedure allows our patients to leave the office with teeth on same day teeth are removed. For more information on Immediate Dentures call Dr. Roderick Garcia at 505-821-6119 and visit www.roderickgarciadmd.com
