Partial Dentures

Dr. Roderick Garcia a Cosmetic and Family Dentist has practiced dentistry in Albuquerque since 1983. Attention to detail and experience allow Dr. Garcia to provide his patients long term function and stability in the dental treatment he provides his patients. Among the many dental procedures Dr. Garcia offers his patients, Partial Dentures is one of them.
Partial Dentures are removable and are used to replace missing teeth in the upper and lower jaw or both. Existing teeth or remaining teeth are used to anchor or hold the removable partial in place. Partial Dentures are made of metal and tissue colored acrylic with acrylic or porcelain teeth attached, acrylic tissue colored base with teeth attached, or nylon tissue colored base with teeth attached. The removable partial denture is made in 2-3 visits to fit the patient's mouth and bite. The teeth that remain in the mouth are used to support, hold, and anchor the removable partial in place by clasping the teeth adjacent to the missing teeth. In areas where cosmetics are important. clear or tissue colored nylon clasps can be used. Once the removable partials are placed 1-3 visits may be necessary for adjustment to customize the fit to the tissue.
